Confederate Books was established in 1995 by Tommy Savage in Quito, Ecuador. It is the only full service used English bookstore in all of Ecuador. Confederate Books is still open in Quito at the same location with the same great selection of books but with a new owner. In 2005 Tommy Savage moved back to the United States to open Thomas Savage Books in historic St. Francisville, Louisiana in August of 2005, then moving his store to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2007.
